Sam Sturgis’s profile of a project by photographer Ignacio Evangelista called ‘After Schengen’ serves as a visual reminder about the often arbitrary and fluid nature of national borders (and, perhaps, our attitudes towards them as well).
A little experiment – I want to see your favorite photos from (or of) the windows on airplanes, boats, trains, lounges, airports, and the like. Use the hashtag #Transportals on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to share your pictures and I’ll do a round-up of the best ones.
To get things going, here’s one I took a couple of weeks ago somewhere between New Zealand and Tahiti.
Have a huge backlog of photos from French Polynesia to post, but here’s a sneak preview of the unspoiled natural lagoon at The Brando Resort… It is one of the most stunning and astonishingly beautiful places that I’ve ever seen!
